Clark County, Nevada and City of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Mesquite, Henderson, and Boulder City Traffic Ticket, Criminal Court, and Inmate Search Information

It can be confusing to navigate the different courts in Clark County and the various cities within Clark County (Henderson, North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Boulder City and Mesquite) have different courts. If you think you have a warrant, you will need to check each jurisdiction separately.  There is no way to check all jurisdictions online or by calling a single number.

Also, just because you do not have a warrant in the City of Henderson, does not mean that you do not have a warrant in the Henderson Justice Court.  Therefore, you should always check both the Justice Court and corresponding Municipal Court to make sure you have located all your cases.  Specifically, we recommend that you check both the North Las Vegas Justice Court and North Las Vegas Municipal Court, check both the City of Henderson and Henderson Justice Court, and view both the Las Vegas Justice Court and Las Vegas Municipal Court.  It is possible to have warrants and/or cases from the same incident in two different courts.  Court telephone numbers, addresses and links can be found below.

Please note that you will not be able to find out information about juvenile offenders unless they are currently being charged as an adult.

Traffic Tickets

Most traffic tickets in Nevada can be paid online.  Please note: That if your citation has not been negotiated and you pay online, you will likely be convicted of whatever you were charged with and points will be assessed to your license.  If you have questions about citations in Clark County, feel free to contact us to see how we can assist you.  This link contains traffic payment links to most courts in Nevada.   https://nvcourts.gov/Supreme/How_Do_I/Pay_a_Ticket/

Warrants and Criminal Case Searches

The following are links to the various sites to check for cases and warrants.  Of course, you can always go to the court with a valid ID to check if you have a warrant, but we do not recommend this, as you may get arrested.  On the other hand, many times an attorney can appear for you and quash the warrant without you getting arrested or having to appear in court.  We also do not recommend contacting the court directly.  You should have an attorney call on your behalf.

Justice Courts

Clark County Justice Court handled the prosecution of all traffic citations and crimes that occurred in Clark County.  They do generally not take jurisdiction over misdemeanor crimes and traffic citations in the City of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, or Mesquite.  For all full description of the jurisdiction of Nevada justice courts, see, Nevada Revised Statute 4.370 by clicking here.  https://law.justia.com/codes/nevada/2010/title1/chapter4/nrs4-370.html

A fun fact about Nevada judges is that Justices of the Peace in counties whose population is fewer than 100,000 persons do not need to be an attorney.  Anyone can run for Justice of the Peace who holds a high school diploma or its equivalent.  NRS 4.010.  Under Nevada State law, a municipal court judge does not need to be an attorney either, but the various cities have adopted their own qualifications.  For example, NRS 5.020 would allow anyone to be a muni court judge so long as they are a resident for one year and a citizen of Nevada, but the Las Vegas City Charter requires a muni court judge to be an attorney in good standing.  Las Vegas City Charter, Section 4.020.
